summer...

it has already been a pretty great season. brandon and i celebrated our 1st (!) anniversary, flapped around in a bunch of pools, gotten alot of sun, and it isn't over! this weekend i have off (yay) and we want to put a pool in the backyard but i really don't want the responsibility of cleaning it and putting chemicals in. so we'll go up to palo beach when we can, and there's always good ol byrnes, 3 bucks to get in, can't beat that.

most of my days are spent at work, dreaming of wonderous knitted and crocheted and quilted projects, of all that may never get done. i'm always thinking of a new project. i have quite the yarn stash too, it is good to buy on clearance less my discount, just today i found out a bunch of my yarns are going up a whole dollar. one was 7.39 a skein, yuck! it will soon cost a small fortune to handmake an afghan for someone special :(

buying work clothes online, there are a bunch of deals for the holiday. i wish i could digitally try them on or something... its such a hit or miss.

looking into joining a couple more book clubs, but i don't need all the bulk, maybe i should get a kindle and do the digital book thing? less clutter at least.

trying to get the house looking the way i want, one room at a time, wanting it to look good for november so hopefully we will be able to babysit. my sister will have to come over and give me the can they babysit? test. hopefully we pass. this is the first time brandon will be an uncle and he is so excited too!

waiting to take my vacation until february, looking into talking to a travel agent, we both really want to go to hawaii, hey if all those military guys work there and get flights there quick, why can't we? looking for a good deal on a package deal.

brandon is doing well at his job, iowa laser, they are expanding like crazy so there is much room for gettting higher up, so we'll see. i've been at hob lob for 4 years now.

it is also hard to believe that i've lived here with brandon for 3 1/2 years, that is the longest i've lived in a place for many years. it is so awesome not to have to move around all the time.

looking forward to wednesday, going to pick up a friend and we're going to the Amish, to buy a bunch of homemade goodies :)

until next time...
